Pancho’s
Pancho’s is the place to go to find what is boasted as the world’s largest collection of Tequila, located on Miguel Hidalgo just down the street from Mama’s. Reasonable size tastings are
available for those who want to analyze the variations in this intriguing beverage. The menu at this long-established restaurant is traditionally Mexican, and the offerings are clearly described. Don’t overlook the Posole, a very popular soup in Mexico. Regionally, posole can be either red, white, or green, and often invokes a civil war type battle of pride for who makes the best. Red is the color here. The one concession to American taste is that the pork in the soup has been carefully trimmed of fat and gristle.
